Its hiking trail maps are packed with all kinds of useful information. Every fact sheet contains detailed information on Andorra’s main hiking routes: a map, the route’s duration, difficulty, elevation gain, altitude, fauna, flora, the mountain shelters along the route and a description of each of its stages. Andorra offers a vast range of tourism activities. Hiking is just one of them. It gives you the opportunity to soak up the natural landscape around you, discover amazing spots and places and uncover the mysteries of its mountains. There are routes throughout the entire Principality, and plenty of different options, as Andorra boasts 3 nature parks: The Valley of Sorteny, the Valleys of Comapedrosa and Madriu-Perafita-Claror. The latter was classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2004.
In this hiking guide you’ll find routes for every taste: varying difficulty levels, distances and durations. All paths are duly marked thanks to a variety of indications, ranging from painted marks to wooden signposts. All mark legends are included in the guide.

MON(T) MAGIC THE FAMILY PARK IN CANILLO
The Mon(t) Màgic Family Park is located in the Canillo sector of Grandvalira. The space is ideal for family activities, both during the winter ski season and in the summer. Mon(t) Màgic has a large sun terrace, with various catering services ranging from sandwiches to an à la carte restaurant, as well as a bar. It also has a left-luggage office, ski storage and a retail shop.
MON(T) MÀGIC IN THE SUMMER
In the summer season, the Family Park opens its doors from early July to mid-September, offering a wide range of activities and sports for all ages, with all the necessary safety guarantees to make sure you have an unforgettable stay.
One of the most striking is the 550 m-long zip line, at 40 m high, with a speed of descent close to 80 km/h, a good dose of excitement and adrenaline is guaranteed.
Màgic Gliss is one of the other star activities at the Mon(t) Màgic Family Park. The toboggan slide with 550 m downhill stretches and 180 m uphill ones can also be enjoyed through the Màgic Gliss 3D Experience, a virtual reality headset that will add another dimension to your descent.
The Bigairbag promises more thrills, allowing you to choose what height you want to jump from onto this huge inflatable mattress. With Acrojump, you can also challenge gravity, doing somersaults and stunts you never imagined, tied to bungee elastic cords to help you jump as high as you can.
For little ones, there are traditional trampolines and a pedal car circuit. There’s mini golf for everyone, young and old alike, to show off their skills, challenging each other in a fun game.
The natural environment of El Forn, where Mon(t) Màgic is located, offers a range of activities to enjoy. The Fornatura circuit will introduce you to the plant and animal species that inhabit the area, whereas the path of legends will help you discover the magical beings from the legends of Andorra. There’s also beekeeping, a journey that will introduce you to the world of bees.
The lake is another of the highlights of Mon(t) Màgic. You can cross the water in canoes, paddle boats and kayaks. A perfect activity for parents and children to share some leisure time on the water. You can travel around the lake by Arapahoe dog sled.

Activities at Mon(t) Magic
There are three ski areas, covering a total of 100 hectares, adapted to suit different abilities: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
Youngsters can get their first taste of skiing while enjoying a world of fun and new sensations. As well as more “traditional” nursery slopes, Mon(t) Magic is also home to the largest themed entertainment slope in southern Europe, with shows and activities to entertain children throughout the route.
However, Mon(t) Magic isn’t just about skiing. You’ll also find other fun activities for children, such as building igloos and snowmen, face-painting, tubing, and lots of other things for children to do, either by themselves or with your assistance.

The Family Park in Canillo also offers catering services, with lunch and snacks for adults and children alike. The town of Canillo also has mountain hotels and shops, as well as other places for entertainment that complement Mon(t) Magic perfectly, such as the Palau de Gel ice palace with its year-round ice rink. Grandvalira’s official website provides information on opening times, prices, packages and seasonal offers, and lets you buy tickets in advance.
VALLNORD MOUNTAIN PARK
Its activity hub is in the Pal sector of the Vallnord-Pal Arinsal resort, right by the La Massana cable car station.
Among the different activities it offers, you’ll find: easy and medium-level hiking routes, a zip-line, archery, ropes park and many more!
Activities of the Mountain Park
Mountain Park has an area for kids that includes a mini Mercedes-Benz circuit, electric train, jump (a trampoline), archery, a ropes park, the Kids zip line, a maze, tubing and an e-karting circuit and Pekepark, an amusement park devoted to children younger than 11. It has all kinds of inflatable structures, slides, ball pits, rope bridges and climbing walls and trampolines, among other activities that will ensure that children have a blast.
Adults, meanwhile, can play disc golf, go on excursions in 4×4 buggies, do the e-karting circuit, play pétanque, slide a ball through wooden channels, do orienteering courses, hike, go up in the summer retrack, go on a ropes course adventure or launch themselves down a 338-m zip line with a 28-m descent on the Big Zip, in addition to many other activities!
On two wheels!
For the most adventurous of guests, Vallnord also offers the Vallnord Bike Park, an area devoted to mountain biking that boasts 29 circuits for different disciplines and difficulty levels, spread over the two sectors. In the Pal sector, you’ll discover downhill courses, enduro, cross-country, four-cross circuits and the Wood Park. There’s also a practice area and pump track, located in the Fun Zone, shared with children as well. For little ones, Vallnord Mountain Park also offers a Kids Bike Park adapted to younger cyclists, with two downhill courses and a mini wood park!
On the other hand, in the Arinsal sector, of the Vallnord-Pal Arinsal resort, Trial and BMX activities are also held.
And if you’re an e-bike fan, you’ll also be able to do this new discipline as the resort has routes with different levels of difficulty! These circuits are located in the Pal sector and go from Pla de la Caubella to Coll de la Botella.
But if you prefer to walk…
Lastly, if you want to take part in a calmer activity, we suggest trying a hiking trail as a couple, with friends or as a family. There are numerous well-signposted routes to choose from, which you can follow to discover nature while enjoying the summery landscapes! All routes are properly signposted with the necessary information: elevation difference, distance, rest areas, etc. These trails include the Camí de Sobirans, which is 2.5 km long and has 80 metres of elevation difference; Camí del Vedat, 3.51 km long and 720 metres of elevation difference; Camí del Pla de la Cot, with a 180-metres elevation difference, and many more.
NATURLANDIA: THE PYRENEAN ADVENTURE PARK!
Imagine an adventure park in Andorra with thrilling rides for all ages, a stunning natural setting and the chance to see large native Pyrenean animals! All this and much more is to be found at Naturlandia. This leisure park in the parish of Sant Julià de Lòria is one of the most enticing offers for those looking to mix family and active tourism.
The park covers 800 hectares in the middle of a forest in the La Rabassa area, divided into two spaces. One is at 1,600 m above sea level, where the esplanade with the main rides is to be found. The other is 2,000 m above sea level, where you’ll find the starting point for some of the circuits and the animal park. The park is open every day of the year, with activities adapted for both the winter and summer seasons.
Tobotronc and Airtrekk: two unique experiences
Among the many attractions at Naturlandia, two stand out as spectacular and offering unique thrills: Tobotronc and Airtrekk. Tobotronc is proud to be the longest Alpine toboggan in the world: 5.3 km long with a 400 m descent! A thrilling descent on a two-man sled on rails, running through the trees of the La Rabassa forest. For children over 1.2 m tall.
Airtrekk is an incredible aerial circuit to test the balance of children and adults, all with harnesses and a 100% effective safety guide. The route is built on a 13.5m-high wooden structure, with 54 obstacles and a 180m zip-line.
Activities for all ages at the Naturlandia park
Andorra’s Naturlandia park offers activities for all ages. The youngest members of the family will enjoy attractions such as pony rides, the tubby and minitubby toboggans, trampolines and bouncy castles. They can also try their hand at sports like archery as well as taking part in face-painting workshops, among other activities.
Older children and more experienced members of the family can have a great time with activities such as Xtrem Jump, circuits on 4×4 buggies or guided hikes.
An animal park to experience local nature
Naturlandia is also a place to discover and experience Andorran flora and fauna close up. Indeed, at the top of the park you can see some native Pyrenean animals, such as chamois, bears, wolves, lynxes, fallow deer, red deer and marmots. This is a perfectly safe area with viewpoints, ideal for people and animals to share.
There is also a Farm School and a Nature Classroom, making this adventure park the perfect place to learn about Andorran nature.
Access to the park: level 1600 and level 2000
The first level at Naturlandia (1600) is 8 km from the centre of Sant Julià de Lòria and accessed from Carretera de la Rabassa.
If you don’t have a vehicle, you can also get to the park using the Quart Bus public transport service, which will drop you at level 1600 or at level 2000 of the park, located 8 km from the first level.
