Day 1 Arrive San Jose
On arrival, meet assist and transfer to hotel. Time at leisure.
The capital city, San José, lies at an altitude of 1,170 meters above sea level and is located in the central

Day 2 San Jose- Tortuguero (By Cruise)
Proceed to Tortuguero National Park. In one of Nature’s most amazing expressions the Park hosts 11 habitats with 2000 species of plants and 400 species of trees; besides a large diversity of wildlife. Green Turtles, an endangered species of the Western Hemisphere, nest along the beaches from July to October. Other turtle species: Baula and Carey also nest in Tortuguero National Park created in 1970. On the way, in CaNo Blanco we transfer into a boat for a 2-hour ride towards Tortuguero. After arrival and check-in, in the afternoon, a walk thru the quaint town of Tortuguero to visit the most important spots and the Turtle Museum (Caribbean Conservation Corporation Exhibit), established in 1959 to study and protect the green turtles. After lunch, we will visit the museum, the beach area and the small and picturesque town of Tortuguero. Overnight in Tortuguero
Day 3 Tortuguero
Proceed to Tortuguero National Park for a boat tour thru the canals. Visit one of the park’s canals by boat and discover with your guide the wonderful biodiversity that resides in this area. Early morning, we depart on to the Tortuguero Canals on an exotic boat ride to experience the spectacular sights and wildlife. Tortuguero is a natural navigable network of lakes and canals that cross the Tortuguero National Park from Southeast to the Northwest, bringing freshwater to the park lands, which are home to 57 species of amphibians, 111 species of reptiles and 60 species of mammals. Day 4 Tortuguero – Puerto Viejo (By Road)
Proceed to the town of Puerto Viejo in Limon. Typically different from the rest of the country, life in the Caribbean is a mixture of influences. Indigenous heritage combines with African, Oriental and Spanish, resulting in a rich blend that reflects in food, people and culture. Puerto Viejo is a small town that has many beaches in the surrounding area. With its rich culture and its people, Puerto Viejo is one of the places that has been able to preserve its lifestyle. In the center of the village, it is easy to appreciate and recognize the traditions and customs of a group of people who are mainly engaged in fishing. Overnight in Puerto Viejo
Day 5 Puerto Viejo
visit to This tour is done in a 14-person boat, with a captain and guide, around the Cahuita National Park. At the park, we will go snorkeling for about two hours in the most important Coral Reef of Costa Rica. There, you could see: 35 different species of coral, 123 species of tropical fish, 3 species of sharks, 6 species of eels, 3 species of sea urchins, 140 of shellfish, 44 crustaceans, 128 types of algae, sea turtles, sea cucumbers, ocean sponges, lobster, shrimp, among others. You will be provided with snorkeling equipment (mask, fins and snorkel tube). After Snorkeling, you will be given a tropical fruit snack plus water and then begin the second part of the tour, which is the hiking in the trail of the Cahuita National Park with one ours naturalist tour guides. Our guide will take you to different points between Cahuita Point and the town of Cahuita (3.5\ km) where you will observe various types animals. Overnight in Puerto Viejo

Day 7 Puerto Viejo – Arenal (By Road) (286 kms / 4 hrs 38 mins appx.)
Visit to The famous Arenal Volcano and its surroundings are excellent destinations for eco-travelers and bird Watchers. The summit of the Arenal Volcano, rising 1,633 meters above sea level, towers far above the northern plains overlooking a wind-swept lake and pristine cloud forest reserves that shelter an incredibly diverse population of wildlife. Day 8 Arenal
Proceed to Mistico Hanging Bridges Park where you will enjoy a soft hike thru the rainforest. Arenal Hanging Bridges is one of the most visited tourism attraction in La Fortuna, only 4 km (2.5 miles) west of Tabacón within a 250-hectare (618 acre) reserve of primary forest. Visitor who love nature can enjoy 15 bridges from five to 100 meters long, friendly design along 3 km rain forest circuit of interpretive trails built with paving blocks to prevent slipping. The bridges are built of aluminum, galvanized steel and concrete, to ensure maximum security for their visitors. Structural engineers with the most demanding safety margins in the world designed them. Walk across the Hanging Bridges and gaze at a 18 meters (60 feet) waterfall within a comfortable non- slippery trail without steps and acquire a once in a life time bracing. Adventure. Guided by a naturalist, who through the natural history will open for you the doors of a fascinating and colorful Tropical Rain Forest world.
