Day 1 Arrive Havana
Arrive at Havana, meet assist and Transfer to the hotel. Proceed to Sightseeing of Havana focusing on the Old and the Modern Havana. Visiting the main attractions Plaza de la Revolucion (Revolution Square), Villa district, El Malecon, the historic old part declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site: La Habana Vieja, Cathedral Square, Plaza de Armas, Plaza San Francisco de Assis, Plaza Vieja. You will learn about the production of Cuban rum in the Havana Club Rum Museum and at the end of the tour in the museum you will be able to taste it. Of course the program either cannot leave out Hemingway’s favorite haunts.

Day 2 Havana
Proceed to Sightseeing Buena Vista Social Club, the concert of the world-famous Cuban band in Havana. The two-hour concert starts at 21:30 where they play nonstop music for two hours. In the repertoire can be heard the most popular songs like “Chan Chan” or “La bayamesa”. Sadly, some of the group’s aging stars are no longer with us Ibrahim Ferrer, Rubén Gonzalez, Compay Segundo. Dinner is available for a surcharge.

Day 3 Havana
Proceed the way of Hemingway and the famous Cuban cigars. Morning visit to a local cigar roller we will discover the art of cigar-making. In front of us a piece of the popular Cuban cigars will be prepared. During the tour we will explore every steps of the process and the secret of how to recognize a good cigar will be explained also. Then we will follow Hemingway’s steps in Havana visit his house at Finca de la Vigia, the fishing port of Cojimar and La Bodeguita del Medio, La Floridita bars, where the world famous “Mojito” and “Daiquiri” cocktails began their journey of conquest.

Day 4 Havana
Proceed to tour with bicitaxi, a 3 wheeled pedal rickshaw that is ideal for seeing Old Havana’s major sights from a different view, off the beaten track. Ride these pedal cabs on the streets in a slow pace and meet locals, see local bars, shops and sneak-peak to the everyday life of Habaneros. Visit Almacenes San Jose, Cuba’s largest handcraft market, where local artist exhibit and sell their products. Along with all the usual souvenirs (Che Guevara hats, Cuba T Shirts, Havana Club signs etc.) you can pick up beautiful handmade cigar boxes, original art and delicate jewelry. The prices here are considerably cheaper than the rest of Havana.

Day 5 Havana
Proceed to Las Terrazas is an ecotourism center only 73 km west of Havana set in the Sierra del Rosario UNESCO biosphere reserve. It dates back to 1968 when the Cuban government launched a huge reforestation project on terraced hills ringing the area. Visit Las Terrazas on a guided walk through town taking in visits to the open studios of local artists, and the home of folk singer Polo Montanez, a national icon and his lyrics are still heard all over the island. After lunch, a walk to the ruins of a 19th century coffee plantation, as well as swimming in the River San Juan.

Day 6 Havana
Proceed to Full day excursion to the western part of the country, in Pinar del Rio province, to the picturesque Vinales Valley (170kms from Havana) that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. Stop at the viewpoint of Los Jazmines that offers marvelous views of the „Mogotes” or “Haystacks”. Visit of local tobacco plantations and learning about the productions. Afterwards boat trip in the Indian Caverns, in Cuba’s oldest cave system. Visit the Mural de la Prehistoria, a unique wall painting.

Day 7 Havana – Soroa – Havana (By Road) (84 km/ 1 hrs 02 min – One Way)
Proceed to the Soroa often referred to as the “Gate to the Gsarden of Eden”. Tomás Felipe Camacho, a wealthy landowner from the Canary Islands, first founded the world-renowned orchid garden here in 1943. Over 700 species of orchid can be found here, including rare species such as the Bird of Paradise Flower and the San Pedro Flower. In Soroa there are also approximately 20,000 species of plant, as well as thousands of palm tree species and other trees, making Soroa one of the most unique UNESCO World Biosphere Reserves. After lunch visit the “Salto del Arco Iris” Waterfall. The Rio Manantiades meanders through thick rainforests before rushing down this 22m high waterfall. At the foot of the waterfall, there is a bathing pool which invites you to go for a short refreshing dip. This part of the island is often aptly referred to as the “rainbow of Cuba”, thanks to its unique flora and fauna. In the afternoon return to Havana.

Day 8 Havana
Proceed to the half day tour begins with a morning tour of an Agro Market, where local crops are sold. Then visit a privately owned organic farm on the outskirts of Havana. You’ll see how the crops are raised and how they elaborate finished products like artisanal cheese and cured meats without using chemicals From the farm you’ll go to visit the nearby Finca Vigía (Hemingway’s home). After Hemingway’s finca, return to hotel.
Day 09 Depart Havana
Cuba is full of music, color and passion. Its vibrant capital inspires everyone who visits and its buzzing art scene has exploded on an international scale. Visit Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Havana. Visit Havana’s top Artists’ Studios. Our guide guides you to Cuba’s contemporary art scene. Meet the artists, see and hear about their works by the artists’ own words and option to purchase their works. In the afternoon, Departure transfer to onward destination.
