Day 2 Tiblisi
Sightseeing tour of Tbilisi – capital of Georgia from 5th century. The city is extraordinary for its turbulent history, elegant and remarkable architecture, destroyed and restored through centuries but keeping entire style of Georgian orthodox religion and traditions. Walk through old city.
Visit to Metekhi church dated 13th century, Sulfur Bathes, Narikala fortress of 4th century, Sioni cathedral initially built in 7th century, Anchiskhati basilica dated to 6th century. Exploring the capital of Georgia.
Visit to Tbilisi National Museum. Evening walk along the Rustaveli Avenue – the main avenue of the city.

Day 3 Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Ananuri – Tbilisi (144 kms / 2 hrs 30 mins appx.)
Drive to Mtskheta – old capital of Kartli-Iberia kingdom known as apolitical and cultural center from 3rd century BC. Drive up to Jvari monastery dated 6th century, distinguished with harmonious proportions and representing the high achievements of early Georgian Medieval Architecture
Visit to Svetitskhoveli cathedral – 11th century architectural monument. Time in old Mtskheta for the shopping and relaxing – numerous souvenir shops are located in the walking distance.
After drive to Ananuri architectural complex dated 16th-17th centuries – overlooking Zhinvali reservoir. Drive Tbilisi. Free evening for own arrangements

Day 4 Tbilisi – Gori – Tbilisi (By Road) (87 kms / 1 hrs / 30 mins – One Way)
Drive to Inner Kartli province to the town of Gori – famous for being a birthplace of J.Stalin. Visit to Stalin’s museum and house of birth. Excursion to Uplistiskhe rock hewn known from 1st millennium BC – a complex of rock cut halls, temples, passage streets, wine pressers, tunnels where Hellenistic period is mixed together with early Christian Age, upper and lower class hierarchy dwellings. *Optional lunch in local restaurant. After lunch drive to Tbilisi. Time for rest and own arrangements. Farewell dinner in city restaurant.

Day 5 Depart Tiblisi
Departure transfer to onward destination.
