First, you will visit Tianjin Ancient Cultural Street. In the ancient culture street, people come here to enjoy its special architectural styles, see its classic cultural features, take home various folk crafts and taste the delicious local Tianjin snacks.
Next, make your way to the Wudadao Area (Five-Avenue Area). The five main avenues are Machangdao, Munandao, Dalidao, Chongqingdao and Chengdudao. There are in total 22 roads, with a total length of 17 kilometers (10.6 miles) and an area of 1.28 square kilometers (0.49 square miles). There are over 2,000 garden-style villas built between 1920-30 by different countries. It is recognized globally, as the Exposition of Neoteric Architectures. The Five-Avenue Area highlights Tianjin, as the tangible textbook of Chinese modern history.
Continue to the Temple of the Queen of Heaven, a famous Taoist temple in Tianjin City, built to fete Goddess Tianhou (the queen of heaven). Tianjin Temple of the Queen of Heaven is situated at the middle section of the Ancient Culture Street, Nankai District. The original names of the Tianjin Temple of the Queen of Heaven include the Tianfei Palace, the Xiaozhigu Tianfei Palace, the Western Temple and the Niangniang Palace. The main function of the temple is to pray for navigation safety and was a center of marine sacrifice in the past dynasties and a venue for sailors to have happy get-togethers.
Across the river from Ancient Culture Street, you will next see the Italian Style Street, located in Marco Polo Square, Hebei District. The Street is a tourist resort with Italian style in Tianjin city and was formerly known as the only concession outside of Italy, and is unique with large Italian-style buildings located Asia. Owning the unique location, the Style Street is merged with different cultures. Here you can find many former residences of celebrities, chic bars, western art deco, international restaurants and much more.
Lastly you will visit China House, also known as the Porcelain House. Located in the Heping District of Tianjin, it is a building decorated with various porcelain wares and pieces. Zhang Lianzhi, a 50-year-old porcelain collector from Tianjin, has spent years decorating an old house with hundreds of millions of ancient porcelain fragments and tons of natural crystals.
At the end of your tour you will be returned directly back to the port area and your ship.
