Feel the muted spirituality on this rocky hill as you enjoy spectacular views of Nai Harn Beach and Ko Kaew Island while the Andaman Sea kisses the shoreline 200 feet below. Promthep draws hundreds of tourists and locals alike each evening to soak in its breathtaking sunsets.
You’ll continue to the gold and white Wat Chalong Buddhist temple. Considered to be the most important Buddhist temple in Phuket, this sacred site is believed to contain an actual splinter of bone from Buddha. Walkthrough the grand pagoda and gaze up at the walls to view intricate scroll carvings and colorful paintings. Join in with the meditators by paying respect to the Buddha and drop a small donation in the coin box on your way out for good karma.
