Cathedrale de Milot The Milot Cathedral also known as Royal Chapel of Milot is located just below the ruins of the Sans Souci Palace. It is a functioning church, and services might be going on during visit. The church is probably the oldest in Haiti, as it was built between 1810-1813. King Henri Christophe, the first king of Haiti was crowned in this cathedral. In front of the church, we found Place d’Armes square. This is where the liberation of the slaves was proclaimed on 29 of August 1793. The plaza is dominated by monuments to two other key revolutionary leaders: Toussaint Louverture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines.

Citadelle Tour Citadelle Laferrière, known to locals simply as La Citadelle, is the largest fortress in the Americas. It was constructed between 1805 and 1820 by Henri Christophe the first king of Haiti. Haitians call it the eighth wonder of the world. Designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1982. The mountaintop fortress is massive, rising a vertiginous hundred and thirty feet from the mountaintop of Bonnet a L’Eveque, around 3000 feet above sea level. The Citadelle commands unparalleled views in every direction over the surrounding landscape of jungle-clad mountains, rivers and ocean.

Day 04: Heros de Vertieres Tour B-D
Heros de Vertieres The Héros de Vertières is a metal sculpture representing six heroes (4 men and 2 women) from the Battle of Vertières – the final battle of Haitian troops against the French army, which took place on 18 November 1803, and which was decisive in the founding of the Haitian nation – was erected in 1953. This phenomenal monument is listed as a national heritage site since 1995. This symbol of Freedom is a must see for all visitors and tourists wishing to view Haitian historical legacy at its Best.

Day 06: Iron Market Tour B-D
Iron Market, or the Marche au Fer was first built in 1890 by the Haitian engineer Alexandre Bobo. Made completely out of iron and cast iron, the market is named after the market in Port-au-Prince which is also under an iron pavilion. The market is the 34th historical monument of Haiti to benefit from this status which places it under the high protection of the State. Its inscription on the list of the national historic heritage was carried out following a presidential decree dated May 11, 2010. Admire the beautiful architecture and traditional Haitian handicrafts sold at the market.

Day 07: Paradise Cove Escape and Haitian Village Experience B-D
Labadee Paradise Cove Escape and Haitian Village Experience. Enjoy a scenic boat ride to an idyllic Paradise cove, flanked with trees offering plenty of shade and shallow water to enjoy. Here, visitors are able to lay out, lounge and enjoy the relaxed sandy cove set amongst a lush green tropical landscape. Just a little way up the hill behind the cove is an authentic-looking collection of huts to show some Haitian customs and culture.
