Nicaragua, set between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, is a Central American nation known for its dramatic terrain of lakes, volcanoes and beaches. Vast Lake Managua and the iconic stratovolcano Momotombo sit north of the capital Managua. To its south is Granada, noted for its Spanish colonial architecture and an archipelago of navigable islets rich in tropical bird life
Day 01: Arrive Managua
Arrival at Augusto Sandino International Airport meet and assist at the Airport and transferred to the hotel.

Day 02: Managua / Leon / Granada
Begin your journey in the city of Managua, where we will present you the culture and history of Nicaragua through museums, parks and historic sites of the capital of the Republic. Then we will drive to the city of Leon. Just before arriving, we will visit the Pompey of Nicaragua, the old city of Leon to see the first city built by the Spanish people in 1524 and abandoned in 1610 because of the volcanic eruptions of Momotombo volcano. After this stop we will continue to the new city of Leon where will visit the biggest church in Central America, the Ruben Dario Museum, the Ortiz Gurdian Museum and the Murals of the Revolution. Transfer to Granada.

Day 03: Granada / Masaya Volcano
Granada known as the oldest colonial city of Mainland America, has survived pirate’s attacks, civil wars, fires and more in its rich history, since its foundation in 1524. We will start this tour full of history visiting the main Plaza, La Casa de los Leones cultural center, the San Francis o museum and convent, the Ceramic museum, La Merced church and La Calzada. Then we will travel to the Masaya Volcano National Park, the first and largest national park in the country to observe the impressive Volcano Masaya and visit its active crater. We will visit the famous Masaya craft market.

Day 04: Zopango Island
You’ll start the tour by being transferred to the harbor, where you’ll take the boat for a ride around some of the famous isletas og Granada. Keep in mind that there are 365 isletas that originated from the eruption of Mombacho Volcano. During the ride, don’t miss the opportunity to delight yourself with the flora and fauna and tranquil lifestyle of Lake Nicaragua. You may also have the chance to see monkeys in some of the islets. You’ll then arrive at the private island of Zopango, situated in front of Mombacho Volcano. Here you can take a swim, explore the island, birdwatch or relax in a hammock, all while you let the views of Mombacho Volcano take your breath away. Enjoy a delicious lunch of local freshly cooked fish in front of you on the barbeque, before heading back to the harbor and your return to your hotel.

Day 05: Ometepe
Transfer to the island of Ometepe for a one-day tour via a ferry, departing from the town of San Jorge. After you will be transported to a magical place: Ojo de Agua. Ojo de Agua is a natural spring pool filled with crystal-clear water from an underground river that flows from the Maderas Volcano.

Day 06: Ometepe / Mombacho Volcano / San Juan del Sur
Transfer and ferry to San Jorge Port. Then, we will visit Mombacho Volcano. On this tour you will be able to see the beauty of the nature and feel the adrenaline from the zip line adventure. Once here, we will switch from your regular vehicle to a 4×4 and drive all the way to the top of the volcano. After driving half an hour, we are ready to walk around one of the dormant crater of Mombacho Volcano, and enjoy the breathtaking views that overlook Lake Nicaragua, the city of Granada and the Islets of Granada. After hiking around this cloud forest, we will drive back to Hacienda El Progreso, the place where we gear up and fly above the trees, for an incredible experience. Transfer to San Juan del Sur.
