The Andaman and Nicobar Islands float in splendid isolation in the Bay of Bengal. These islands, islets numbering around 572, are covered with dense rain-fed, damp and evergreen forests and endless varieties of exotic flora and fauna.
Port Blair is the capital of the 350 odd islands that comprise the Andaman and Nicobar group. Visiting the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a unique and exhilarating experience. The Archipelago contains 362 volcanic islands scattered in the Bay of Bengal, with only 37 of these being inhabited. These lush green islands have a colourful historical past, with a string of invasions by the French, Dutch, Japanese and British and wars between settlers and the native tribes. The Cellular Jail, where hundreds of Indian revolutionaries were imprisoned during the Indian freedom struggle, still stands tall.
The tropical rain forests that loom close to the seashore are home to unique species of birds, and to tribes that still haven’t learned to use fire.
Day 01: Arrive Port Blair (By Flight) / Port Blair – Havelock Island (By Cruise)
Arrival at Port Blair in the morning/afternoon by flight and our representative will be waiting outside holding a placard with your name on it. You will then be taken to board a ferry to Havelock Island. On arrival in Havelock Island, our representative will attend you and will drop you to your resort in Havelock Island. Rest and explore the beach side resort in Havelock Island. Note: Please note that you have to arrive before 1:00 PM in the Andaman Islands to get transferred to Havelock Island on the same day.
Day 02 Havelock Island
Today we begin our journey to one among Asia’s best beach, Radhanagar Beach. Explore this white sand beach and bask in the beauty of this natural wonder. Swim and take pictures at the best-rated attraction in the Andaman Islands. Note: You have the flexibility to change the timings as per your convenience. In general, this trip starts around 9:30 AM. During this day you can even do additional activities such as Scuba Diving, Sea Walk or Snorkeling.
Day 03 Havelock Island – Neil Island (By Cruise)
Today, we begin our journey from Havelock to Neil Island to the explore the beauty of Neil Island. Firstly we cover, Bharatpur Beach. The closest white sand beach to Neil dock, Bharatpur beach. The reef here is still unexplored and travelers can avail snorkeling, glass bottom boats rides and Jet Ski rides here. Then, visit to Sitapur beach which is a perfect picturesque beach for travelers. We also visit Laxmanpur beach. Known as the sunset point at Neil Island, Laxmanpur beach is a vast open white sand beach. Post completion we drop you back to your hotel in Neil Island for overnight stay.
Day 04 Neil Island – Port Blair (By Cruise)
Today we return back from the exotic journey of Havelock and Neil Island to Port Blair. Rest and relax. Later we move forward to visit Andaman Islands best sunset point, Chidiatapu. Visit this amazing destination and return back to Port Blair.
Day 05 Port Blair – Baratang Island (By Road) (163 kms / 02 hrs 15 min)
Travel from Port Blair to Baratang Island. Visit to limestone Caves and Mud volcano. Ride through a fascinating Mangrove drive, which leads to the start point of the trek to Lime stone caves. Trek through dense forest to reach the Limestone Cave. Made up of the mineral calcite calcium carbonate the cave contains beautiful cave formation. Overnight stay in Baratang island.
Day 06 Baratang Island – Port Blair (By Road) (163 kms / 02 hrs 15 min)
Depart from hotel to Baratang Island by road through the dense tropical forest and Jarawa Tribal reserve in a private vehicle. Often you might see a member of the Jarawa Tribe while passing through the tribal reserve. At the end of this forest journey you would reach Baratang jetty. Launch service is available to cross the sea bay. Enjoy the breathtaking fiber boat ride through a fascinating Mangrove drive, which leads to the start point of the trek to Lime stone caves. Trek through dense forest to reach the Limestone Cave. Made up of the mineral calcite calcium carbonate the cave contains beautiful cave formation. Return back for overnight stay at respective hotel at Port Blair by the same route. Later drop back to the hotel for overnight stay. Note : A shared vehicle is provided for your trip to Baratang island. It comes with complementary lunch and refreshments.
Day 07 Port Blair
Start your day by visiting some of the best city attractions in the Andaman Islands. Visit the famous Chatham Saw Mill, which is amongst the oldest sawmill in Asia. The saw mill is named after this island. Then proceed to Anthropological Museum that hosts the tools, the pictures and the history of the aboriginal tribes in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Post this proceed to the Fisheries Museum and Naval Marine museums that host varieties of fishes in Andaman Islands. Take a break and refresh yourself with varieties of delicious food options in the Andaman Islands. We then begin our journey to the famous Cellular Jail, which hosted Indias most famous political prisoners. One among them was Veer Savarkar. The Veer Savarkar Airport is named after this freedom fighter. Later in the evening we take a shopping tour to the best locations where coral artifacts are sold. Purchase gifts for your friends and family from these places. Later drop back to the hotel for overnight stay.
