Day 01 Arrive Colombo – (By Flight)
Welcome to Sri Lanka, the teardrop – shaped island just off the coast of India.
On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the commercial Capital of the Country, Colombo. Check in at your Hotel on arrival and spend some time at leisure before driving through the mall and the city known as the “Fort”, built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, where much of the colonial era buildings stand alongside modern office structures. View vibrant markets and bazaars of Pettah, and the National Museum, with its collection of precious antiques and art from Sri Lanka. You can visit a Buddhist temple and a Hindu Kovil to experience the diversity of religion, ethnicity and customs of the people.
Day 02 Colombo – Galle (By Road) (Approx 2 ½ Hrs drive)
After breakfast drive to Galle on arrival check in at the hotel .
Afternoon city tour of Galle. visit the magnificent Dutch Fort is the most popular attraction of the town and is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. 300 year old Dutch atmosphere is still very much alive around the fort and amidst its many historical buildings not invaded by the skyscrapers. Visit the Dutch Museum in the Fort. Overight in Galle
Day 03 Galle – Kosgoda -Bentota – Galle (By Road) (Appx 4 Hrs drive)
After Breakfast drive to Bentota Morning visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery in Kosgoda to take a look at the practice of turtle conservation. The turtle hatcheries are open from 06:00 in the morning to 18:00 in the evening. If you wish to release a freshly hatched three-day old turtle into the ocean, try it. It’ll then be time to head on to the Madu River, a preserved wild life sanctuary, where you will enjoy a scenic and relaxing boat ride & a Fish Foot Therapy. Later drive to Bentota A famous beach Known for its stunning beaches and water sports, Walk around the beach then return back to Hotel. Overnight in Galle.
Day 04 Galle – Singhraja NP – Galle (By Road) (Appx 5 Hrs drive)
After Breakfast Visit Singhraja Park. Later return back to Hotel.
Sinharaja Rain Forest declared as a World Heritage Site in 1989, Sinharaja – Sri Lanka’s last remaining primeval rain forest is classified as a Tropical Rain Forest or a Wet Evergreen Forest. Considering the fact that 75 – 92% of the tree cover consists of endemic plant species and that 8 out of 12 mammals, 18 out of 20 birds, 21 out of 72 reptiles, 10 out of 19 amphibians , Sinharaja no doubt is considered as a haven for endemism , both fauna and flora. Picturesque Sinharaja is not only a place for a paradise for nature lovers but a laboratory for scientific and educational research but in view of its unique eco systems and genetic resources.
Sinharaja Rainforest Reserve is a national park in Sri Lanka. It is of international significance and has been designated a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The hilly virgin rainforest, part of the Sri Lanka lowland rain forests eco region, The reserve’s name translates as Kingdom of the Lion. Enjoy the nature at its best in this Treasure Trove with a high degree of endemism both flora and fauna. Overnight in Galle.
Day 05 Galle – Tangalle (By Road) (Approx 1 ½ Hrs drive)
After breakfast drive to Tangalle on arrival check in at hotel.
Afternoon visit Tangalle beach relax at the beach. Overnight in Tangalle.
Day 06 Tangalle – Yana NP – Tangalle (By Road) (Appx 4 hrs drive)
After breakfast and little rest drive to Yala National Park Visit Yala National park.
Afternoon enjoy exclusive jeep safari in the national park. Yala, the largest national park in Sri Lanka is very reminiscent of the African savannah and is the place where the greatest variety of wildlife can be observed. Herds of Spotted Deer, Sambar (Elk) and Wild Boar are common. Yala is now gaining an international reputation as the best place to watch Leopards in the world.
The aggressive Sloth Bear is also present but rarely seen. Yala also contains about 250 Elephants including some magnificent solitary cross-tuskers. Before reaching Colombo, en-route stop to visit the Old World Town of Galle which is known for a charming Old Dutch Fort (1640), one of the best preserved forts in Asia, whose ramparts enclose an Old Town of great historical and architectural value. Finally reach Colombo and overnight stay. Overnight in Tangalle.
Day 07 Tagalle
Full day free to rest and relax at the beach.
Overnight in Tangalla
Day 08 Tangalle – Colombo (Appx 3 Hrs drive) / Depart Colombo (By Flight)
After breakfast Drive to Colombo and transfer to airport to catch the flight for onward journey.
