Family holidays in Liechtenstein
In Liechtenstein there is so much to do for all the family, with the country’s many family-friendly hotels (including childcare services) providing the perfect base for an enjoyable holiday.
Malbi Park Kinderland in winter
Located in the heart of the village of Malbun, the Malbi Park Kinderland is packed full of fun and surprises for children of all ages.
On 3,600 square meters of snow, skiing becomes an unforgettable experience for the little ones. On the “malbi carpet”, the little piste kings slide 40 meters uphill like on a conveyor belt. In the “malbi-rondo” carousel they learn to make curves carefully or start their first attempts at driving on the practice lift. Parents can either explore the malbi-Park together with their children or they can leave the little ones in the trustworthy hands of the snow sports instructors.
Malbi Park Kinderland in summer
Malbi Park Kinderland is the perfect place for children to discover nature at first hand while adults relax and enjoy the breathtaking views.
Animals and the petting zoo
Who can resist the cuddly and friendly animals in the Malbun petting zoo? During the summer months children visiting the zoo have the chance to observe the animals, stroke them and find out all about the different species.
The Hotel Gorfion petting zoo
The Hotel Gorfion has a large petting zoo where children can feed and stroke the friendly and tame animals. These days, many children grow up spending little or no time in the company of animals, so the petting zoo is a great way for them to learn about the close connection between humans, animals and nature. The friendly donkeys, playful goats and cuddly rabbits can’t wait to meet you!
Galina Falconry Centre
Galina Falconry Centre offers visitors a unique opportunity to get up close to eagles, falcons, hawks and eagle owls during a fascinating birds or prey show put on between May and October. For more information contact Galina Falconry Centre.
Alp Guschg
Every Wednesday afternoon visitors at the mountain farm at Alp Guschg have the chance to meet and learn about a wide range of animals native to the Alps.
Lama & alpaca trekking
Trekking with lamas and alpacas through the Alps? Why not! In the company of the friendly animals, children immerse themselves in nature and soon forget how long they have been walking. As you walk, the guides will tell you all about the animals and the beautiful landscape. For treks lasting more than half a day, the lamas can carry supplies in their saddle bags.
Malbun
Malbun lies 1600 metres above sea level in Liechtenstein’s Alpine region and is an oasis for families.
Family offers
Liechtenstein is the ideal destination for families in summer and winter, with the Alpine resort of Malbun recently awarded the Family Destination Award in recognition of its family-friendly services and facilities.
