The Shillong Golf Club is one of the many attractions of Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, a North-Eastern State of India. Founded by the British way back in 1898, with the idea of cooler golfing conditions during the hot and humid months of Indian summer, the 18 hole golf course is set in serene and picturesque surroundings at over 5000 feet. Pine and Rhododendron trees line the hilly layout which has a wonderful natural feel. Golfing at this golf club in Shillong is a highlight in a trip to this beautiful part of the world, which the British apparently likened to Wales!
