Sweden Shore Excursions
If you think of Sweden, you’ll probably imagine thick forests, magnificent knitted sweaters, clear skies and a wonderful cruise in the Baltic Sea.
Taking a trip to Sweden means choosing a holiday in harmony with nature. The northern region of Noorland, which includes the Arctic territories of Scandinavian Lapland, is the land of moose, the tundra and the northern lights. The central plains of Svealand are much more hospitable and were the area inhabited by the ancient Vikings. A cruise to Sweden allows us to admire the fjords and sail to Stockholm, the capital city built on 14 islands.
We’ll stroll through the cobbled alleys of Gamla Stan, the old town, in search of smörgårbord, the internationally renowned buffet that includes a great variety of dishes served with brännvi, a type of potato or cereal brandy spiced with local herbs.
