Aizawl is a beautiful hill city and the capital of Mizoram flanked by the lofty peaks of Durtlang in the north. It is set on ridges of steep hills overlooking the sylvan valley of the river Tlawng in the west and of the river Tuirial in the east and south. This picturesque and peaceful city also commands exotic landscape of verdant hills stretching away to the horizon. Aizawl literally means “a field of wild cardamom”, a name which originated during the days of the great Mizo chiefs Lalsavunga and Thanruma who had set up villages in and around the present site of Raj Bhavan in the early nineteenth century. Aizawl is not only the state capital, but also the political and cultural centre of Mizoram.
Aizawl has a great scope for adventure sports like para gliding in the Durtlang cliffs and rafting in Tlawng river. Day 01 Arrive Aziwal (By Flight)
Arrival Aizawl,and transfer to hotel. Evening free to explore the city by your own.

Aizawl: Aizawl, the state Capital of Mizoram is located at an altitude of 4000 feet above sea level. Surrounded on the east by the deep green valley of river Tlawng and protected by beautiful high hills of Durtlang on the north, it is an ideal hill station for those looking for some fresh air and solitude.
Day 02 Aizwal
After Breakfast Proceed to full day city tour visiting.
Bara Bazar: It is the most important shopping hub with stalls selling garments, and other commodities. Here the people can be seen in their traditional costumes selling products from farms and homesteads including river crabs with little wicker baskets.
Luangmual Handicarfts Centre: 7 Kms away from Aizaul it takes half an hour to reach by car. The ‘Khumbeu’ ceremonial bamboo hat is made here using waterproof ‘hnahthial’ leaves.
Mizoram State Museum: This museum is situated at Mc Donald Hill in the town center. it is having an interesting collection of historical relics, ancient costumes and traditional implements.

Durtlang Hills: These beautiful, craggy hills offer the breathtaking view of Aizawl.
Mini Zoo: Home to species of animals and birds found only in the hills of Mizoram
Berawtlang Tourist Complex: This is a recreational center situated 7 kms away from Aizawl City. It offers the facilities of Restaurant as well as Tourist Cottages.

Day 03 Aizwal – Tamdil – Aizwal (By Road) (85 Km/ 03 hrs 20 min – One Way)
After Breakfast Proceed to full day excursion for Tamdil lake.
Tamdil Lake: 85 kms from Aizawl, Tamdil is the largest natural lake in Mizoram surrounded by cool virgin forests. It is an ideal picnic spot for the tourists with the facilities of boating and fishing and also the Tourist lodge for those who wish to spend a night or two to enjoy the serenity of the place.
Later return to Aizawl.

Day 04 Aizwal – Champhai (By Road) (186 Kms / 07 hrs 09 min Appx)
After Breakfast Proceed to Champhai.
Champhai: Champhai is a busy commercial town and a developing venue for Indo-Myanmar border trade and ideal place for marketing all kinds of goods. It is an important agriculture and sericulture centre and its surroundings present the tourist with a view of the hills of Myanmar. 5 km away from Champhai is the Ruantlang village where glimpses of the ancestral way of life of the Mizos can still be seen.
Overnight at Champhai tourist lodge.
Day 05 Chamdil – Aizwal (By Road (186 Kms / 07 hrs 09 min Appx)
After Breakfast Proceed to sightseeing in and around Champhai town. Later return to Aizawl.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 Depart Aizwal (By Flight)
Departure transfer to onwards destination.
