Day 01 Arrive Delhi (By Flight)
Arrive Delhi, meet and assist on arrival, welcome with fresh flower garlands and transfer to hotel.
Later city tour of Delhi.
Delhi – India’s capital and a major gateway to the country. New Delhi also reflects the legacy the British left behind. The division between New & Old Delhi is the distinction between the capitals of the British & the Moghuls respectively.
Tourist Attractions: Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Built by Shah Jahan, Red Fort (Photo Stop), which was also built by Shah Jehan. This massive fort was built from 1638 to 1648, Chandni Chowk and Rajghat – the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi. Witness the India Gate, the Presidents House & the Parliament, Qutab Minar.
Day 02 Delhi – Raipur (By Flight)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Raipur.
On arrival, meet assist at transfer to the hotel.
Later, city tour of Raipur. Overnight in Raipur.
Raipur is the capital city of Chhattisgarh state in central India. In the center, the ancient Dudhadhari Math temple is a sacred monument dedicated to Lord Rama, decorated with scenes from the epic poem “Ramayana.” Nearby, a statue of the Hindu monk Swami Vivekananda towers over Vivekananda Sarovar lake. Southeast, Purkhouti Muktangan is an open-air museum featuring landscaped grounds, statues and tribal artifacts.
Visit: Mahant Ghasidas Samarak Sangrahalay, Swami Vivekanand Sarovar, Gandhi Udyan Park, ISKCON Raipur and Town Hall.
Day 03 Raipur – Kawardha (By Road) (120 Kms. / 2H 30M appx.)
After breakfast, travel to Kawardha.
On arrival, explore Kawardha. Enjoy the sunset at Sarodha.
Kabirdham district is one of the 27 administrative districts of Chhattisgarh state in central India. The district was earlier known as Kawardha district. The district is located between 21.32′ to 22.28′ north latitude and 80.48′ to 81.48′ east longitude. The district covers an area of 4,447.5 km²
Day 04 Kawardha
After breakfast, city tour of Kawardha.
Overnight in Kawardha.
Today, you are going to the ancient Bhoramdeo temples which have the superb carvings that reveal those at Khajuraho.
Later, make your way to visit the local artisan villages with the opportunity to join in making a clay pot or cooking a local dish.
You can choose to do a shopping trip to the small but bustling town of Kawardha, eat a samosa in a dhaba or buy some jungle honey from the forest department shop.
Then, proceed for a trip to one of the weekly tribal markets.
Watch the throngs of beautiful, traditionally dressed Baigas and Gonds who walk down from the hills to buy and sell their wares.
Day 05 Kawardha – Kanker (By Road) (239 Kms. / 5H 10M appx.)
Today, post breakfast, start your trip for Kanker Palace.
Kanker District is located in the southern region of the state of Chhattisgarh, India within the longitudes 20.6-20.24 and latitudes 80.48-81.48. The total area of the district is 5285.01 square kilometres. The population is 748,941. The district’s headquarters, Kanker town, is situated on the National Highway NH-43.
Carry your packed lunch if you wish or have a sumptuous hot lunch at a hotel in Raipur.
You will be received at Kanker Palace with a traditional welcome.
Freshen up and then enjoy watching the Chattigarhi folk musicians and have some hot beverages and snacks.
Meet the members of the royal family who will share their insights into the life of the region.
Day 06 Kanker
After breakfast, then set out to the village of the Deer-Horn Muria Tribe and have glimpse of the Gotul System.
Enjoy the wonderful village food with some local tardy and later, move to the bustling Tribal Haat (market).
Return to Kanker Palace and stay overnight there.
Day 07 Kanker – Jagdalpur (By Road) (160 Kms. / 3H 30M appx.)
After breakfast, leave for Jagdalpur, the largest town of Bastar.
Jagdalpur is a city in the tribal district of Bastar in Chhattisgarh, a state in central India. On the banks of the Indravati River, ornate Bastar Palace was built by the region’s former kings. The nearby Anthropological Museum displays tribal artifacts. West of the city, Chitrakote Falls cascades over broad cliffs. To the southeast, tigers roam through teak and bamboo forests at Kanger Valley National Park.
The three hour long journey will lead you to enjoy the major glimpses of the tribal life and also you will get a chance to make a short detour midway to visit Tribal craft communities of Kondagaon.
Also, visit Narainpur weekly market. Stay overnight at Bastar Jungle Resort.
Day 08 Jagdalpur
Today you would be exploring this Tribal land by visiting the famous Bison-Horn Maria Tribe Known for their weaving, dance and hospitality.
Make your way to visit the rich forest of Kanger Valley National Park later and other attractions nearby which include the Kailash caves or gushing cataracts of Tirathgarh.
On your way back, watch the lively weekly Haat, the tribal life is showcased very well here.
Stay overnight at Bastar Jungle Resort.
Day 09 Jagdalpur
After breakfast, start to explore the village where the resort is located and then drive to see the famous Chitrakote Waterfalls, the Anthropological Museum, Raw Silk Centre and a Cock fight market.
You will stay overnight at Bastar Jungle Resort.
Day 10 Jagdalpur – Raipur (290 Km / 6H 10M) / Raipur – Delhi (By Flight)
After breakfast, drive to Raipur International airport for flight to Delhi.
On arrival, meet assist and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in Delhi.
Day 11 Depart Delhi (By Flight)
Departure transfer to Delhi International airport for flight to onward destination.
