The royal Nizami Hyderabadi biriyani of Andhra Pradesh, hot and spicy Chettinad cookery of Tamil Nadu, and Malabari cooking of Kerala comprising mainly seafood and coastal dishes, are some of the signature cooking methods of South India.
While Hyderabadi kitchens smell strongly of saffron, mint, coriander and nuts, the Chettinad spread is hot and spicy enough to well up your eyes and nose. The seafood is a special genre of art in Kerala as well as other coastal states and it generally revolves around fish, crabs, mussels, shrimp and prawns cooked in coconut milk, turmeric, and red chillis.
Day 01 Arrival Mumbai (By Flight)
Arrival in Mumbai, meet assist and transfer to your hotel. Also known as the ‘Financial Capital of India’, Mumbai was given to Charles II of England on account of his marriage to the Portuguese princess Catherine. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Mumbai
After Breakfast, Proceed to sightseeing tour of Elephanta,Caves,away from the ‘Gateway of India’ on an island. Board the motor boat and ride towards the island. Built in the 7th century, Elephanta Caves are a group of rock-cut caves dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, explore other tourist attractions in Mumbai which include the Gateway of India, Prince of Wales Museum and Hanging Gardens.

Day 03 Mumbai – Hyderabad (By Flight)
After Breakfast, Proceed to Hyderabad. On reaching Hyderabad airport, move to the hotel. Later in the afternoon, embark on a half day sightseeing tour of Hyderabad covering Mecca Masjid, Faluknuma Palace, Safdarjung Museum and Charminar.

Day 04 Hyderabad – Gulbarga (By Road) (212 kms / 04 hrs 15 min appx.)
After Breakfast, Proceed Gulbarga. On the way, halt in Bidar to visit the 15th century Bidar Fort and the Bahmani tombs. On reaching Gulbarga, check into hotel. Later, go out to visit the 15th century Jama Masjid. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 Gulbarga – Bijapur (By Road) (165 kms / 03 hrs 10 min appx.)
After Breakfast, Proceed to Bijapur. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Later, embark on a tour of Bijapur covering Gol Gumbaz and Ibrahim Roza built by Adil Shah II for his beloved queen.

Day 06 Bijapur – Badami (By Road) (119 kms / 02 hrs 37 min appx.)
After Breakfast, Proceed to sightseeing tour of Badami temples. On the way, visit Aihole- the “Cradle of the Indian Architecture”. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel for night stay. Later, visit the Mahakuteshwara Temple, Northern Fort and Badami rock-cut caves.
