Togo, a West African nation on the Gulf of Guinea, is known for its palm-lined beaches and hilltop villages. Koutammakou, inhabited by the Batammariba people, is a traditional settlement of fortresslike clay huts dating to the 17th century. In the capital, Lomé, are the multistory Grand Marché bazaar and the Fetish Market, offering traditional talismans and remedies relating to the vodun (voodoo) religion.
Day 01: Arrie Lome
Arrive Lome meet and assist at the airport and transfer to Hotel.
Upon arrival you can visit many places of interest like Independence Square, national Museum, Lome craftsmen village and Lome Central market.
Lome the capital of Togo. Located in western Africa, Togo is a land filled with lagoons. Southern Togo is tropical rainy climate zones while northern Togo is tropical savanna climate zones. As a world-famous city, Lome is also the political, economic, and cultural center of Togo. Over the last decade, the tourism industry in Lome has witnessed great development. With convenient transportation, countless tourists come to Lome for its bright sunshine, golden sandbeach, azure seawater and lush tropical plants every year.

Day 02: Lome – Lac Togo B-L-D
Lome is the only African city to have been colonised by the French, British, Germans. Explore the city including its central markets and the fascinating if rather gruesome fetish market, where animal parts are sold for use in traditional medicines. In the afternoon travel by canoe to a remote and hidden village, where we witness a voodoo ceremony unique to this part of the world and sure to be one of the highlights of your trip.

Day 03: Ouidah B-L-D
From here we continue to the coastal town of Oudiah, a stronghold of voodoo and once an important slave port. We visit the python temple where sfrom wichnakes and venerated as representations of gods, the old Portuguese fort and finally head to beach and the sombre Gate of no Return the point from which slaves left Africa for the new world.

Day 04: Ganvie – Abomey B-L-D
This morning we visit a service of the Celestial church a unique religion which blends voodoo and Christianity. Continue to Lake Nokwe to visit Ganvie the largest stilt village in Africa situated in the middle of the water. We then Drive to Abomey, Once the centre of powerful kingdom of Dahomey, and home to an impressive Royal Palace. The palace is now museum displaying various artefacts from that time.

Day 05: Savalou – Naititingou B-L-D
Stop at the Dakoli fetish, the most important voodoo shrine in Benin, where we may be able to witness rituals taking place/ In the afternoon we visit villages of the Taneka people, a small but traditional ethnic group with a Society centred around fetish priests.

Day 06: Tamberma Villages – Defale B-L-D
Drive into the lands of the Tamberma, One of the region’s most tradaional groups who live in fortified houses known as Tata’s quit a spectacular sight. We spend time learning about their culture and customs, Crossing into Togo and heading to the town of Defale for the night.

Day 07: Defale – Sokode B-L-D
Spend the morning exploring the villages of the Kabye and Moba people, in the Defale Mountains. We then head to the town of Sokode. This evening we witness a fire dance where the participants use burning coals in their performance another fascinating demonstration of local beliefs and customs.

Day 08: Kloto B-L-D
Drive South to the tropical forests, Stopping first in Atakpame to see traditional crafts and then continue to kpalime. Explore its markets and continue to near by Kloto where we take a walk in the forest. Accompanied by local Entomologist we learn about butterflies and other innsects that live here.

After breakfast departure transfer to Airport to catch the flight for Onward Journey.
