Day 02: Asmara – Keren – Asmara
The journey to Keren begins right after breakfast. Keren is the second-largest city, situated at 91 kilometers northwest of Asmara. The City is surrounded by mountains. It was built by the Italians because of its moderate climate.
Many visitors enjoy staying in Keren. The City is also well known for its Baobab Tree Temple. The majestic tree has stood for centuries and it is so graceful to watch it and pay respects. Visitors would also visit the Italian and Common Wealth war cemeteries.
Keren is well known for the fiercest battles that went on between the Commonwealth and the Italian forces in 1941. The fall of Keren in the hands of the Common Wealth advancing army signaled the end of an era of the Italian occupation in Eritrea.

Day 03: Asmara – Massawa
An interesting drive to the Red Sea port of Massawa, dropping from 2500m down to sea level to stay in the Dahlak hotel. We can expect it to be both hot and humid. Night time temperatures fall to 25 Grad Celsius.
The road initially built by the Italians as a weather road has been turned into a fine tarmac by the Government of Eritrea Visitors may feel as if they are driving above the clouds as they could apparently watch the clouds down the hill.
Continuing the journey visitors will witness the desert plains before reaching the port city of Massawa.

Day 04: Massawa City Tour
After breakfast, visit the port city of Massawa and enjoys a combination of Turkish and Italian Architects, an apparent indication of the Ottoman and Italian colonial history. There is, among others, an old Turkish Palace and the Modern Port built by the Titians at the turn of the 20th Century. A more than one thousand years mosque is still standing to this day. Day 05: Massawa – Ghindae – Asmara
Morning boat trip to the uninhabited Green Island/Isola Verde, for a short walk, and the opportunity to swim. There may be some birdwatching possible on this little island. In the afternoon drive uphill while enjoying the magnificent scenery and lush vegetation all the way to Asmara, as time allows with stops on the way at interesting sites. The best of Eritrea.

Day 06: Asmara – Quhaito – Senafe – Asmara
During what will be a long day, we will drive southeast to see the ancient ruins at Qohaito: these
standing stones, evidence of walls, and a rock-cut tomb date from about 2500 years ago (contemporary
with Yeha in Ethiopia). From Qohaito, we will drive on to Senafe and visit the Mount Metera and Belowkelwo archaeological sites, which are regarded as pre-Axumite. Drive back to Asmara.

Day 07: Asmara city tour
After breakfast, we’ll check out various areas outside Asmara. In the mid-day, there will certainly be a guided go through Asmara.

Day 08: Asmara – Adi Quala – Asmara
Early morning hours we will drive to the town of Mendefera. The town is dominated by two hills on either side of the main road. Among the things to see in Mendefera include the market, the ancient Mosque, and the old Saint George Church (San Giorgio Church).
Travel further to Adi Quala, a pleasant market town 32 km from Mendefera. It is covered with vegetation and a slew of agricultural plains, small stores, and cafes.

After breakfast departure. Transfer to airport to catch the flight for onward journey.
