Lesotho, a high-altitude, landlocked kingdom encircled by South Africa, is crisscrossed by a network of rivers and mountain ranges including the 3,482m-high peak of Thabana Ntlenyana. On the Thaba Bosiu plateau, near Lesotho’s capital, Maseru, are ruins dating from the 19th-century reign of King Moshoeshoe I. Thaba Bosiu overlooks iconic Mount Qiloane, an enduring symbol of the nation’s Basotho people.
Day 01: Addo Elephant National Park, South Africa L-D
We start our day meeting the group in Port Elizabeth and will then be transferred to the accommodation. Our travels today, takes us along the coastline and up to the third largest National Park of South Africa, The Addo Elephant National Park. This Park is home to many of Africa’s big game. Our vehicle gives us a better view on our game drive during the afternoon, especially for the photographers amongst us.

Day 02: Graaff Reinet, South Africa B-L-D
We leave the Addo National Park today and we travel to the heartland of the Great Karoo. An optional visit to the Valley of Desolation for a sundowner excursion is available this evening for those wishing to participate in this activity. Kindly note during the winter months this will become a Sunrise excursion to the Valley of Desolation the next morning.

Day 03 – 04 :Lesotho – Malealea, Lesotho B-L-D
Today we will make our entrance into the incredible mountain kingdom of Lesotho. Lesotho is one of the world’s highest countries, lying over 1000m above sea level. Crossing the Orange River, we travel up high into the mountains where we stay for the next two evenings.The following day we wake up early and are given an opportunity to partake in a Pony Trekking Excursion through the secluded hills of Lesotho, accompanied by local guides. On your way back to our camping site, the group will visit the local village and school.

Day 05 – 06: Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park, South Africa B-L-D
Leaving Lesotho behind, we travel through the Golden Gate to our next destination. The Drakensberg Mountains range has some of South Africa’s highest and most incredible mountains. We explore the mountain trails and take our time to enjoy the breathtaking sights in the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg National Park. On our second day, we go for a guided hike with a local guide to see some of the renowned San rock paintings. We encourage everyone to make the most of the day and explore this magnificent mountain area at leisure.

Day 07: Drakensberg- KwaZulu-Natal Coast – Durban, South Africa B
We will travel downwards as we leave the mountains and make our way to the KwaZulu-Natal Coast. Visiting the historic capture site of our former president, Nelson Mandela on our way as well as stopping at the beautiful Howick Falls where you are free to take photos at this viewpoint. After breakfast departure transfer to Airport to catch the flight for onward journey.
