Meet your local, knowledgeable, certified guide upon arrival and set off for a day learning all you can about Bermuda. Your guide will provide a wealth of information as you begin to travel along the scenic coastline in your comfortable transportation.
Stop at the Gibb’s Hill Light House, a 117-foot tall lighthouse built in 1846 of cast iron, the oldest of its kind in the world, and one of only two cast-iron lighthouses still in existence. Overlooking the South Shore and Little Sound, the lighthouse offers views of both the city of Hamilton and the Royal Naval Dockyard.
Next, make your way to Hamilton for an approximately 30-minute stop in the Capital of Bermuda. Take the time while here to visit a few local shops, pick up a souvenir and soak up some of the charms of this beautiful capital city.
Continue to the historic town of St. George, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will be provided approximately 45-minutes here for self-exploration where you can shop, grab a bite to eat or watch Bermuda’s history come to life as the St. George’s Town Crier conducts an 18th century trial. This entertaining and light-hearted historical re-enactment will show how an offender was publicly punished, including the dunking of a nagging wench.
Climb back aboard your transportation and make your way to the South Shore and her beautiful beaches. Stop at one of the designated beaches for magnificent and inspiring photo opportunities as well as the chance to walk on the pinkish sand beach and feel the warm surf run through your toes.
