Discover Hamilton, the capital city of Bermuda and a British island territory in the North Atlantic. The beautiful Front Street, close to the harbor, features pastel-colored colonial buildings and up-scale shopping. To the northeast is the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, home to sharks and turtles. Also home to a lighthouse, Gibb’s Hill, this lighthouse is distinct in the honor it is only one of two cast-iron lighthouses still in existence.
Meet your local, knowledgeable, certified guide upon arrival who will provide a wealth of information as you travel in your comfortable transportation.
Your first stop will be at the Gibb’s Hill Light House, a 117-foot tall lighthouse built in 1846 of cast iron, the oldest of its kind in the world. Explore the gift shop located at the base of the lighthouse and do a little shopping for a souvenir or two. This stop overlooks the South Shore and Little Sound, offering views of both the City of Hamilton and the Royal Naval Dockyard.
Make your way next to the City of Hamilton, the capital of Bermuda, and be provided approximately 40-minutes of free time to shop, explore, taste the local flavors and refresh with a beverage.
Leaving Hamilton, you will travel primarily along the scenic coastline as your guide shares very interesting history about Bermuda.
Stop for an opportunity to take photos of Horseshoe Bay Beach and Jobson’s Cove, then get a chance to walk on one of the pinkish sand beaches at Warwick Long Bay. Dig your toes into the warm surf running over your feet or, if you choose, take some awe-inspiring photos to remember your day.
