The state is famous for its vibrant colors, culture, and tradition. It enjoys a rich history, dated back to 2000 BC. It is surrounded by the Arabian Sea on the west, Rajasthan and some parts of Pakistan on the north, Madhya Pradesh on the east, and Maharashtra on the south.
It has a coastline of about 1290 km which is the longest in India. Famous for its classical temples, sublime beaches, and breathtaking structures, wildlife sanctuaries, and resorts, Gujarat is one of the most visited tourist places in India. Day 01 Arrive Ahmedabad (By Flight)
Arrival Ahmedabad with fresh flower garlands. Met and transfer to Hotel.
Later afternoon half day sightseeing of Ahmedabad. Overnight at Ahmedabad.
Ahmedabad, also known as Amdavad is the second largest city of west India and the largest city in Gujarat. Ahmedabad was also the former state capital of Gujarat. Ahmed Shah I founded this city on the banks of the Sabarmati river in 1411 and thus named as Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad is also known for its association with the Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation and is one of the India’s foremost industrial centres. It is a place where tradition and modernity co-exist in perfect harmony.
The various tourist attractions in Ahmedabad are the Jama Masjid, Sidi Bashir Mosque, Sabarmati Ashram, Sidi Saiyad’s Mosque, Hathee Singh Temple and Jama Masjid was built in 1423 AD by Ahmad Shah and was also described as the most beautiful mosque in India.
Day 02 Ahmedabad
After Breakfast proceed for Halfday visit to Calico Museum to see various collection of Textile Weaving and traditional part from varies city’s from Gujarat Wednesday and all Public Holidays are closed.
Afternoon our transport will be with you for a shopping and bazaar visit.
Return to the hotel for Overnight
Calico Museum of Textiles is widely regarded as one of the finest textiles museums in the world. This museum was started in Calico Textile Mill. The museum is housed inside one of Gujarat’s famous carved wooden haveli in Shahi Bagh Gardens. This museum was inaugurated by Pandit Nehru in 1948, and is now managed by the Sarabhai foundation. Calico Museum of Textiles has excellent collection of antique and modern textiles including heavy brocades, fine embroideries, sarees, carpets, turbans, rare tapestries, wall hangings, Maharaja’s costumes, old weaving machines and royal Mughal tents. It also houses an excellent collection of Jain manuscripts.
Day 03 Ahmedabad – Poshina (By Road) (180 Kms. / 4 hrs. appx.)
After breakfast drive to Poshina, The tribal land in Arravallis one can see various tribal and traditional colorful people in the village visit.
Overnight at Poshina.
From Ambaji in Sabarkantha district, Poshina takes one back to the simple beauty of traditional village life, populated by a captivating mélange of colorful tribal communities of the Garasias, Bhils and the pastoral Rabaris. Poshina is home to a tribal shrine where you find the staggering scene of thousands of terracotta horses standing in rows as offerings to the local goddess. Nearby villages have similar horses carved in reverence to her divinity. A visit to the homes of the potters who make these striking horses is an excellent glimpse into tribal culture.
Day 04 Poshina
After breakfast proceed for Ambaji Temple visit which is 29 Kms drive one-way.
Later afternoon halfday visit to the tribal villages & walk tour to the villages.
Evening return to the Darbargadh.
Ambaji is an important temple town with millions of devotees visiting the Ambaji temple every year. It is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. The full moon of Bhadrapad is one of the four most important festival days of the year, when farmers and agriculturists come to Ambaji.
Day 05 Poshina – Balaram (By Road) (79 Kms / 1.5 hrs appx.)
After breakfast drive to Balaram with the visit of Modhera Sun Temple and Patan.
Evening arrival at the Palace of Balaram, your nature home resort.
Rest of the day leisure. Overnight at Balaram.
Sun temple is situated on a knoll in Modhera, This temple is one of the finest Hindu temples in Gujarat, built by the great Solanki dynasty. This temple and the Konark Sun temple in Orissa are very similar.
Patan was founded by the Vanraj Chavda in 746 AD. It enjoyed a privileged status of capital of Gujarat, for about 600 years from 746 AD to 1411 AD. In the 8th century, Patan under the name of Anahilvada, was the capital of the Hindu kings of Gujarat.
The major Rajput clans of Chavadas, Solankis and Vaghelas ruled Gujarat from Patan. The glory of Patan reached its highest point during the Solanki period. During this period, the city was a great place of learning and a prosperous trading center. The rulers were great patrons of fine arts and architecture and thus constructed various religious and historical places in the city
Day 06 Balaram
After Breakfast.
Morning leisure at the hotel and later evening proceed for the villages visit of Balaram and nearby. Return to the hotel for overnight.
Balaram is a holy place with considerable importance as a Hindu pilgrimage. Among the many temples here are the Gaumukh, with a natural stream flowing from the mouth of a cow.
Situated in scenic forest areas, Balaram is an ideal spot for a day picnic from Ahmedabad. A river flows through the region and the mountains rise in beautiful formations on every side. There are some pretty plantations here.
Day 07 Balaram – Balasinor (By Road) (265 Kms. / 4.5 hrs. appx.)
After Breakfast Drive to Balasinor, on arrival check in the Garden Palace.
Later Evening visit the Lash green villages with walk through the town to see beautiful carved Mausoleum homes.
Overnight at Balasinor.
Situated in the Kheda district of the West Indian state of Gujarat, Balasinor is a small town. Also known as Vadasinor, it was established during the 18th century. To be precise, this former princely state of Nawab Babi or Yusufzai Pathan Dynasty, was created on 28th September, 1758 from the Babis of Junagadh.
The Garden Palace -The extremely beautiful Garden Palace, built in 1883 by Nawab Saheb Manover Khanji Babi, is known for its well-manicured gardens and is also a well-known tourist attraction
Close to the Garden Palace is the Wanakbori Dam, which is created on the Mahi river. This place is quite popular amongst picnickers, locals or tourists. The dam site offers a panoramic view of the reservoir, mainly during the monsoon season.
The natural hot water sulphur springs of Timba Tuva is not a popular place of interest for the tourists but is also believed to have medicinal properties. It is said that that waters of this natural spring can miraculously cure rheumatism and arthritis.
Galteshwar is the site that houses an old temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Day 08 Balasinor – Baroda (By Road) (110 Kms. / 2.5 hrs. appx.)
After Breakfast drive to Baroda.
On way visit the Dinosaur Fossils Excavation Sit 22 Kms Considered to be one of the third largest site in the World.
Overnight in Baroda.
Raioli near Balasinor is one of the most important dinosaur sites in Asia. The fossilized bones of the Rajasauras Narmadensis, a dinosaur with an unusual head crest, were discovered here. Rayoli is famous for the findings of the Rajasaurus Dinosaur – the regal dinosaur from the Narmada. It was 30 feet long and 9 feet high and weighed around 3-4 tonnes. The Raioli Dinosaur Site was first discovered in 1981 & the fossils at the Raioli Site are more than 65 million years old. The park also has an interpretation center for dinosaur fossil park. Fossils can be seen on the rocks of the park. It is also said to be World’s 3rd largest Dinosaur Fossil Site.
Day 09 Baroda – Ahmedabad (By Road) (114 Km/ 2.5 hrs) / Dep. Ahmedabad
In the morning after breakfast, drive to Ahmedabad.
On arrival, transfer to airport for flight back home.
