Nakuru is the capital city of Nakuru County, Kenya. It is northwest of Nairobi, in the Great Rift Valley. Nearby is Lake Nakuru National Park, home to rhinos, giraffes, lions and leopards. Lake Nakuru is an algae-filled soda lake that attracts thousands of flamingos. Lookout points such as Baboon Cliff and Lion Hills offer views of the birds, the lake and mammals including warthogs and baboons.
Day 01 Arrive Nairobi / Nairobi – Mara (By Road) (258 Kms / 05 hrs 32 min)
Arrival at Nairobi airport meet assist and transfer to hotel. Depart to Maasai Mara Game Reserve, which is commonly referred as the 7th wonder of the World. You pass via Narok, the only Maasai town in the Rift Valley. On the way will stop at the view point of the Rift Valley for photo taking. Arrive in Mara in the late afternoon. Overnight stay at the Lodge.
Day 02 Mara
After breakfast, Proceed to game drive which gives you the chance to see animals such as lions hunting. There are also much wildlife ahead of you such as buffaloes, black rhinos, hyenas and wild beasts. In the
afternoon visit the Maasai cultural villages. Overnight stay at the Lodge.
Day 03 Mara
After breakfast, Proceed to spend the second day in these vast rolling plains of Mara looking for the zebras, wildebeests, elephants, cheetahs, leopards and giraffes. Afternoon visit the fascinating big hippos of the Mara river that lives in families. Overnight stay at the Lodge.
Day 04 Mara – Nakuru (By Road) (261 Kms / 05 hrs 26 min Appx.)
After breakfast, Proceed to the Lake Nakuru in the Great Rift Valley. At far distance on the way will see the popular Longonot crater the only mountain in the Rift Valley that have a crater lake at the top. Arrive in Nakuru National Park in the afternoon. Overnight stay at the Lodge.
Day 05 Nakuru
After breakfast, Proceed to whole day game drive in this park commonly referred as the best bird’s paradise on planet earth. This park has millions of birds including the pink flamingoes as well as other birds such as pelicans, heron, fish eagles and ducks. You will also see some rare animals like buffaloes, jackals, white rhinos, zebras and Rothschild giraffes. Overnight stay at the Lodge.
Day 06 Nakuru – Mt Kenya (By Road) (291 Kms / 05 hrs 48 min Appx.)
After breakfast, Proceed towards central Kenya highlands and at far can see the Aberdare ranges. On the way stop at the Equator, which is the imaginary line that divides the world in two, also enjoy fascinating sights of Mt. Kenya (2nd tallest mountain in Africa). Arrive in Nanyuki in the late afternoon. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07 Mt Kenya
After breakfast, Proceed to Mt Kenya, Sweet waters ranch for game drives. Mt Kenya is popular for much wildlife such as lions, elephants, monkeys, cheetahs, leopards and chimpanzees. The park has also many species of birds such as sunbirds, eagles, hawks and various types of indigenous old trees. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 Mt Kenya – Nairobi (By Road) (263 Kms / 05 hrs 16 min Appx.)
After breakfast, Proceed on the way pass in Nyeri town. You visit the Lord Baden Powell site and grave side. Baden Powell from England is the world famous founder of the Scouting Movement in 1907 and started the same in Kenya in 1910. He died in Kenya in 1941 and was buried in Nyeri town near the Aberdare forests that is facing Mt Kenya. Later in the afternoon visit the Nyeri market to see how local traders sell their different commodities. You then proceeds to Nairobi and on the way enjoy sights of coffee, pineapple and bananas plantations. Arrive in Nairobi later in the afternoon and taken to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09 Depart Nairobi
Proceeds for a Nairobi city tour. You visit the popular Dephane Shedrick where you interact very closely with baby elephants. Later visit the giraffe centre where you can feed them with hands. In the afternoon visit Kenya National Museum where most of country old history and culture are preserved. Later you are, Departure transfer to onward destination.
