Latvia is a country on the Baltic Sea between Lithuania and Estonia. Its landscape is marked by wide beaches as well as dense, sprawling forests. Latvia’s capital is Riga, home to notable wooden and art nouveau architecture, a vast Central Market and a medieval Old Town with St. Peter’s Church. Riga’s museums include the Latvian Ethnographic Open-Air Museum, showcasing local crafts, food and music.
Day 01:Arrive Vilnius
Arrive Vilnius meet and assist at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

Day 02: Vilnius
After breakfast start sightseeing tour to explore Vilnius, which is known for its more than 1,200 medieval buildings and 48 churches. The morning tour includes a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University and the Gates of Dawn.
The afternoon tour offers an optional excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania. The main attraction of Trakai is the well preserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve. In the evening, you can enjoy an optional folklore dinner at Restaurant Belmontas.

Day 03:Vilius – Riga
After breakfast head to Riga, the first tourist stop is the Hills of Crosses, which is one of the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania. After crossing into Latvia we will come across the magnificent Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. Following a guided tour of the palace, we travel amidst the hills of Southern Latvia to reach Riga late in the afternoon. You can check-in at the hotel and relax.

Day 04:Riga
Before touring Riga we have the opportunity to explore medieval Latvia. The optional morning tour introduces us to the stunning scenery of the Gauja National Park and the quaint beauty of Sigulda town. We become aware of the medieval Latvian legend of the Rose of Turaida and marvel at the ruins of the Episcopal Castle and of the Castle of the Knights of the Sword.
In the afternoon you can visit the Ethnographical Open Air Museum, which gives a fair idea of 18th century country life. The evening can be spent listening to an organ concert at the Dome Cathedral.

Day 05:Riga
Founded in 1201 by the German bishop Albert, Riga is the largest of the three Baltic capitals and boasts of a real kaleidoscope of architectural styles. The walking tour of the Old Town covers the Riga Castle, the Dome Cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the Swedish Gate, the Three Brothers, the Large and Small Guilds and the Freedom Monument. In the afternoon, you can opt to visit the Latvian sea resort Jurmala, well-known for its wooden architecture and sandy beaches. Round off the evening with an optional Latvian dinner at the stylish Restaurant La Boheme.

Day 06:Riga – Tallinn
After breakfast move along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu where there is a stopover for some time. We then continue through the North Estonian land of forests and arrive in Tallinn early in the afternoon. Guests can check-in at the hotel and retire for the night.

Day 07: Tallinn
After breakfast city tour Tallinn is a perfect blend of medieval tranquility and fast-paced urban life. The medieval Old Town is at its busiest during summer with its many shops, galleries, souvenir markets, outdoor cafés and restaurants. The sightseeing tour takes us around the old medieval city walls and into the Old Town where we visit the Toompea Castle, the Dome Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and the medieval Old Town Hall. In the afternoon, an optional excursion is offered to Kadriorg Park with a visit to the Kadriorg Palace and a chance to view its art collections. On the last evening of the tour, enjoy a medieval dinner at Restaurant Peppersack.

Day 08: Depart Tallinn
After breakfast departure transfer to the airport to catch the flight for onward journey.
