Day 01 Arrive Cochin (By Flight)
Arrive in Cochin, meet assist and transfer to your hotel. Later proceed for a sightseeing tour of Cochin covering – The Dutch Palace at Mattancherry is renowned for its wall murals depicting scenes from the Ramayana. Day 02 Cochin – Guruvayur (By Road) (93 Kms / 02 hrs 51 min appx.)
After Breakfast Proceed to Guruvayur a small town situated around 24 km from Thrissur. It derives its name from the ancient Guruvayur temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and one of the most important temples of south India. A famous pilgrimage and cultural centre. Non Hindus are not allowed inside the temple.Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Later proceed to visit the famous Elephant Sanctuary Punnathur kotta near the Guruvayur temple. It houses more than 60 elephants. All these elephants were offerings to the deity and are used for temple purposes. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 Guruvayur – Wayanad (By Road) (170 Kms / 04 hrs 55 min appx.)
After Breakfast Proceed to Wayanad, Upon arrival check in to your resort. Wayanad located in the north east of Kerala state and the most sought after tourist destination in Asia. Day 04 Wayanad
After Breakfast Proceed to Edakkal Caves considered to be one of the earliest centres of human habitation. Inside the cave you will find ancient stone scripts, pictorial wall inscriptions of human and animal figures with peculiar headdresses, the swastik form, symbols and cave drawings of human figures, wheels, bows, knives, trees. Day 05 Wayanad – Calicut (By Road) (84 Kms / 02 hrs 36 min)
After Breakfast Proceed to Calicut, once the capital of the powerful zamorins and a prominent trade and commerce centre, it was the most important region of Malabar in the days gone by. Today, lush green countrysides, serene beaches, historic sites, wildlife sanctuaries, rivers, hills, a unique culture and a warm, friendly ambience make Kozhikode Calicut a popular destination. Visit the Kappad beach where Vasco d agama set foot in 1498 which was the discovery of sea route to kerala.
Also if time permits visit the beypore one of the prominent ports and fishing harbours, and was also an important trade and maritime centre during the days of the early Arab and Chinese travelers and later the Europeans. Soon after gaining prominence as a port and trade centre, Beypore slowly began to flourish as a centre for shipbuilding, since ships were 0in great demand merchants from Western Asia. The shipbuilding yard at Beypore is famous for its traditional construction of the Uru or the Arabian trading vessel. This tradition of shipbuilding is nearly 1,500 years old, and the craftsmanship of the workers here is exceptional. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 Calicut – Bekal (By Road) (175 Kms / 05 hrs)
After Breakfast Proceed to the famous Bekal in kasargodu district. Extremely scenic landscape, extensive beaches, numerous estuaries and backwaters and unspoilt environs has helped Bekal qualify as an international standard beach destination and the most potential beach destination in South Asia India has a very few comparable locations that offer the diversity of attractions to be found in Bekal. Day 07 Bekal
After Breakfast Proceed to relax at the beach . By afternoon proceed for a visit to Bekal fort which is the largest fort in the state of Kerala, India, spreading over 40 acres 160,000 m2. An important features of this fort are the water-tank with its flight of steps, the tunnel opening towards the south, the magazine for keeping ammunition and the broad and wide steps leading to the Observation Tower which is a rarity. This observation center had strategic significance in discovering even the smallest movements of the enemy and ascertaining safety of the Fort. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08 Bekal – Mangalore (65 Kms / 01 hrs 31 min) / Depart Mangalore
