Malawi, a landlocked country in southeastern Africa, is defined by its topography of highlands split by the Great Rift Valley and enormous Lake Malawi. The lake’s southern end falls within Lake Malawi National Park – sheltering diverse wildlife from colorful fish to baboons – and its clear waters are popular for diving and boating. Peninsular Cape Maclear is known for its beach resorts.
Day 01: Arrival Lilongwe D

Day 02: Lilongwe – Viphya Plateau B-L-D
After breakfast drive to the Viphya Plateau and enjoy stunning views of the highlands.
You will visit the Viphya is to experience the wild. In the forest plantations there is a sense of peace and tranquillity as one walks through the dense, sweet-smelling pines. The birdlife is famously varied. As well as the lesser double collared sunbird adopted by Luwawa Forest, there are osprey, eagles, buzzards, herons and egrets to be seen. Bearded vultures have also been reported. While the birdlife is widely spread, mammals tend to be seen more likely to be seen near the dambos and along the stream courses. The Viphya is not a wildlife reserve nor a safari destination but there may still be occasional sightings of some small mammals the likes of bushbuck, duiker, monkeys and baboons. The plateau is also home to leopard, civet, porcupine, mongoose and hyena.

Day 03: Viphya Plateau B-L-D
On this day you can ride mountain bikes or hike through the forest trails and watch the spectacular array of birds in the beautiful gardens. Viphya is a great, dissected plateau aligned parallel to the Great Rift Valley (containing Lake Malawi).
Dotted with small isolated hills called inselbergs, it forms the spine of North Malawi, with its highest peaks rising over 1800 metres (6000 feet). The saddle in which the city of Mzuzu lies splits the Viphya and to the north it meets Lake Malawi very abruptly, leaving no space for lowlands at the lakeshore. After our mountain bikes we will be go back to our lodge.

Day 04: Viphya Plateau – Nyika National Park B-L-D
After breakfast drive to Nyika Plateau, Malawi’s oldest and largest game park. This is where we will wonderful for time to do trekking and mountain biking as well as more conventional 4×4 excursions and safaris. There is such a lot to see in the vast park: waterfalls, a neolithic rock shelter, trout pools and even a ‘magic lake’ are just some of the attractions beyond the breathtaking vistas and wildlife encounters. After having a free afternoon to explore the fascinating landscape during a optional game walany activities that will be choosed.

Day 05: Nyika National Park B-L-D
Having full game drive or an optional of spending the whole day exploring or soaking up the atmosphere of the beautiful open plains on the Nyika Plateau. Nyika being a montane vegetation is home to a diverse array of wildlife including large numbers of antelope, Hyena and jackal are occasionally seen and there are a number of species of smaller mammals such as warthog and bushpig. Elephants and buffalo usually keep to the lower ground on the northern edge of the park but more elephants were brought in to the park a couple of years ago and they do very occasionally make it up to the higher plateau.

Day 06: Nyika National Park – Lake Malawi B-L-D
After an early morning breakfast, leave the plateau and drive towards the lakeshore stopping for lunch in Mzuzu, the big city of Northern region. After our lunch in Mzuzu we will continue with our drive to the beach of Africa’s third largest lake,

After breakfast departure transfer to the airport to catch the flight for onward journey.
