Karnataka is one of the four southern states of India. Bordered by the Arabian Sea on the west, it is surrounded by Goa, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The state has three main regions: the coastal plains abutting the sea; the Western Ghats running parallel to the coastline; and the inland plains of the Deccan Plateau. One of the most industrialised states in India, Karnataka also produces 90% of India’s gold, almost 60% of its coffee and a significant amount of raw silk and sandalwood products.
Day 01 Arrive Anegundi (By Road)
Arrive in hospet and transfer to Anegundi. Check in at homestay. Visit the Brindavan and the 64 pillar mandapa across the Tungabhadra by coracle. On return, the Ranganatha Temple, Jain Temple and the gagan Mahal can be visited, halit for lunch. After Lunch, we visit the Pampa Sarvor and Anjanadri Hills to view the glorious sunset. evening After Tea, witness folk dance programme. After the programme, have Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Anegundi
After Breakfast, Proceed to visit Chintamani and Huchchayappa Matha and the Banana leaf handicrafts centre. Interact with the self help groups. After Lunch, leisure at 15:00 hrs to the Sugriva’s cave, then to visit the chandramouliswara temple on Rishimukh Hill.we cross the river by coracle to the Vittala Temple, Purandhara Dasa Mandapa and Chakra Tirtha. evening after tea, documentary screening. After Dinner, Coracle ride along the Tungabhadra in the night. Overnight at hotel .
Day 03 Anegundi
After Breakfast Proceed for mohir mane and the rock painting sites (valid only for special interest groups)/ depart to virupapura ghatta via the aqueduct and by coracle to Hampi. Visit Virupaksha Temple, Jain Temple, Monolithic Narasimha and Krishna Temple. Halt for lunch, After Lunch leave to visit the Kishkinta inscription site along the Gangavathi road (only for special interest groups)./ visit monuments at Kamalapur via Talavarghatta road after crossing the river by coracle.return to relax at the property, there will be a Documentary Screening (18:30 – 20:30 hrs). After the show, Dinner will be served and overnight stay. Overnight at hotel .
Day 04 Depart Anegundi
Proceed to the tour of the heritage houses of Anegundi, visit an organic Farm/ Agricultural Fields in Anegundi and on return the Ranganatha Cave. Lunch en route, spend the rest of the day at leisure. Departure transfer to onwards destination.
