Day 2 Accra
Proceed to This day’s tour will take us through the principal streets of Accra to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park which was named after the first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. The park was formerly known as the Polo ground where Dr. Kwame Nkrumah stood to declare Independence for Ghana. It is the final resting place for the late President and his wife, Madam Fatia Nkrumah.
Continue your drive through Makola Market to the Old City of Accra, James Town. Learn about history and culture of the indigenes of the Gas. Other sites to visit are The W.E.B. Du Bois, the Independence Square, the Arts and Crafts Bazaar where you will find all kinds of African products from beads, crafts, cloth etc, the national museum. Stop at the National Theatre see the “female and male “drums which are used during state ceremony.

Day 3 Accra – Cape Coast (By Road) (151 kms / 2 hrs appx)
Proceed to Cape Coast and Elmina, arriving late morning for a tour of Cape Coast before checking into your hotel. This afternoon visit Elmina Castle, a World Heritage site where slaves were held before being sent to the New World. This evening observe the colorful fishing boats in preparation for the usual overnight fishing expeditions.

Day 4 Cape Coast
Proceed to Kakum National Park. Kakum is one of Ghana’s most famous parks. Take a brief walking tour on the forest floor. Kakum is home to Africa’s only aerial walkway through the tree canopy, a 1000 foot long, seven-bridge walkway with viewing platforms that reach heights of over 150 feet above ground. This afternoon visit the Cape Coast Castle and the Castle Museum for a guided tour. Cape Coast Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and home to the “Door of No Return”.

Day 5 Cape Coast- Accra (By Road) (151 kms / 3 hrs appx) / Depart Accra
Departure transfer to onward destination.
