Burkina Faso, literally translated as “Land of the Upright People” and host to Ouagadougou’s famous film festival, has more to offer than exotic names: stunning landscapes, several game-rich natural parks, traditional and modern architecture, rich handicraft and arts, a thriving music scene. Its cultural and scenic diversity mean that you never have to travel too far to find an attraction or experience unlike any other.

Wall decorating or painting is an ancient practice, but is, unfortunately, nowadays rapidly disappearing.
In fact, there are only few families left in the village that still have their buildings freshly renovated – as I interpreted, mostly for the purposes of tourism, at least that. In the afternoon, drive back to Ouagadougou for overnight.
Day 3 Ouagadougou – Bobo Dioulasso (356 kms 356 kms /5 hrs 30 min appx)
Today, you will drive to the country’s second largest city and its chief trade and industrial centre, Bobo Dioulasso has bicycle assembly works, cigarette factories, cotton gins, and a variety of food-processing plants. Major roads radiate from the city, and it is a stop on the rail line between Abidjan (capital of Côte d’Ivoire) and Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso’s capital.
Borgo International Airport is just to the west. Bobo Dioulasso is an Islamic centre with a large clay mosque dramatically studded with wooden pikes. It has a college, the West African Centre for Economic and Social Studies, and it is the seat of government research institutes for geology and mines and for cotton and textiles. Upon arrival, check in Hotel Sissiman and start a short city tour including the mosque, the old quarter (Kibidwe) the catfish in the river, the Music Museum and the Provincial Museum. Back to Hotel for overnight.

There are seven tribes who came from Ghana, and it is Gan tribe who has a King. You will great the King, visit the sanctuary and the representation of all the Kings and 4 Queens.
According to them, one should not be King if you are under 40 years which is the reason why they had four Queen. Drive back to Gaoua for overnight.
