Yozgat
Yozgat is a city and the capital district of Yozgat province in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey. According to 2019 census, population of the district is 421.200 of which 106,280 live in the city of Yozgat.The city lies on the site of a Bronze Age settlement 100 miles (160 km) east of Ankara in a valley of the Ak Mountains, at an elevation of 4,360 feet (1,329 metres).
The main road between Sivas and Ankara passes through Yozgat, but the rail line bypasses it to the southwest, and the city functions primarily as a local market and administrative centre. Mohair, wool, grain, gum, and lead are the chief products of the surrounding area, which is well forested. There are also many ancient Hittite archaeological sites within the region.
